The controller of personal data described on this page is Jaffa Citrus Press — a food atelier that presses grove fruit, cooks marmalade in copper, and packs grove boxes for collection. We are not a restaurant reservation engine, a loyalty app, or a payment platform. This notice is dated 2026 and matches a static site, a tasting counter, and paper crate cards. If we ever add a real checkout, we will rewrite the notice before that checkout goes live.

Messages you send from abroad are stored in Israel. We have no foreign branches. Grower names on plot cards are commercial counterparts who supply fruit; they are not a public directory, and we do not publish visitor photographs as a gallery.

Crate cards and correspondence

What a preserve house actually collects.

We collect only what marmalade work requires: a name on a crate so the right person leaves with the right wood; a grocer’s contact, shop address, and jar list for invoice and fulfilment; emails to hello@jaffapress.pro and calls to the atelier number, read by the same people who log copper batches; and, if you ask at the counter, an email jotted in a paper notebook so we can tell you when Plot 06 bergamot cordial returns.

The contact form on this site is a template only (action="#"). It does not transmit your words. If you later paste the same note into an email, that email becomes a business record. We do not ask for identity numbers, health files, or payment-card data through jaffapress.pro. Card payments at the counter follow the terminal provider — those systems are not this static page. We do not sell mailing lists or share tasting-room names with other food brands. Growers hear aggregate notes (“Plot 03 peel was thick”), not a list of private collectors. Carriers see an address only if you ask us to send a crate beyond collection; an accountant or counsel may see files they are bound to keep confidential; authorities see what Israeli law requires.

The cream bar

jaffapress.pro is static HTML. The cream bar at the bottom of each page is a notice, not an advertising product. Choosing “Accept” hides the bar in your current browser via a small script and may set a strictly necessary flag so the notice does not return on every click. We do not drop cookies for retargeting, social plugins that phone home, or analytics suites that profile people who read about Shamouti marmalade.

If you leave the bar visible, the pages still work — including the catalogue, the grove notes, and the non-submitting enquiry form. The stylesheet may request fonts from Google Fonts; that request is subject to Google’s own notices, and you may block third-party fonts if you prefer system typefaces. We do not mine host logs to decide who likes bergamot.

Your position in Israeli law

Rights under the Privacy Protection Law — and how we honour them at the counter.

Jaffa Citrus Press is established in Israel. We treat personal data in line with the Privacy Protection Law, 5741–1981, including duties that apply to databases used in the course of business, and later amendments that strengthen transparency, security, and the rights of data subjects (often discussed as Amendment 13 and related regulations). In this room that means: we collect identity for collection and correspondence about fruit and jars; paper plot logs and crate cards stay on Yefet Street or in a locked cabinet; hosted email or accounting tools are processors for preserve orders, not a licence to scan your kitchen; security is a locked atelier and limited staff access — we do not copy passports to hand over a jar.

On written request to hello@jaffapress.pro we will give you a readable copy of what we hold (crate cards, emails, wholesale contacts), correct a misspelt collection name before you arrive, delete a notebook email where no invoice still needs it, stop optional harvest notes, and forward digital correspondence where we hold it. You may withdraw consent for bergamot alerts in a single sentence. We will ask enough to be sure we are not handing a grocer’s order book to a stranger. People in the EEA or the United Kingdom may also use a GDPR-style complaint route through their supervisory authority; our first door remains the atelier. We process crate reservations and wholesale orders as contract (or steps toward one), seasonal notes on consent, tax invoices because Israeli company law requires it, and ordinary replies about Shamouti season as a legitimate interest in running a small food house.

How long the paper stays

Retention follows the season, the invoice, and the tax year — not a marketing warehouse.

Crate cards for collected grove boxes are kept for the season, then destroyed, unless they form part of a tax record and must sit with the invoice. Wholesale files follow ordinary commercial retention in Israel for a registered preserve business (Company No. 516284731). Informal notebook emails for bergamot or harvest alerts are kept until you ask us to stop, or until two seasons of silence, whichever is first.

Website logs, if the host of jaffapress.pro creates any, follow that host’s backup cycle; we do not mine them. A parent collecting a gift crate may give a household name — we do not need a child’s date of birth to sell marmalade, and we do not build profiles of children. We do not keep “tasting preferences” as a dossier. When a card’s work is done, it leaves the wall above the copper line and is filed or discarded as above.
