Do you serve coffee or lunch?
No. This is a cold-press atelier. Spoons of marmalade and a drop of cordial in water, then you collect glass. Kitchens are elsewhere in Jaffa.

Collect a grove box, taste the week’s set, or send a wholesale list. We answer from the same desk that logs the copper pans. This is an atelier, not a reservation book.
Arriving
18 Yefet Street has no customer car park. Paid kerb spaces appear and vanish with the market traffic; if you drive, allow time to leave the car a few streets back and walk the stone lanes toward the port. The atelier door is on the ground floor, one shallow step from the pavement. Delivery vans use the alley by arrangement only — do not block the lane to “run in for a jar.”
Buses and walking from the Jaffa clock tower or the port lanes are the reliable approach. Look for the circular orange mark and the smell of zest. There is no ramp built into the threshold; if a step is a problem, telephone before you set out and we will meet you at the door with the crate.
What to bring
Jars and cordial are heavy and break. Bring a sturdy bag or a small trolley — we pack tissue for a walk, not for a swinging shopper. If we are holding a grove box, the name on the wood must match the person collecting unless you wrote us a note in advance. A written list helps: plot preferences, jar counts, whether you can return empty glass.
Do not arrive expecting lunch, coffee, or a table. Cash and cards are taken at the counter for private sales. Wholesale buyers should bring a shop name and a billing address; we do not open a trade account from a first walk-in without that. Citrus and sugar are the obvious allergens; we do not run a nut-free room, and peel is packed in the same air as the pans.
When the door is open
The tasting spoon stops thirty minutes before we lock. Friday packing finishes at 13:30 so glass is settled before we close. If a Shamouti delivery lands late, the press may still be running while the counter is open — that is work, not an extended evening.
| Day | Counter & collection | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Sunday | 09:00–18:00 | Plot log opened; wholesale desk from 10:00 |
| Monday | 09:00–18:00 | Usual press day after a Sunday pick |
| Tuesday | 09:00–18:00 | Copper line; last spoon 17:30 |
| Wednesday | 09:00–18:00 | Same hours; crate collections until 17:45 |
| Thursday | 09:00–18:00 | Often the busiest private counter |
| Friday | 09:00–14:00 | Packing stops 13:30; no evening opening |
| Saturday | Closed | No collections, no telephone desk |
Two desks, one room
Walk-in collectors use the tasting counter: a spoon, a reserved crate, a short list. Stand there if you are buying jars for a household. The wholesale desk is the same limestone room, to the left of the iron press — case counts, invoices, and shop addresses. It is not a separate office and not a café corner. On a busy Thursday, let the tasting line finish before you open a trade conversation over someone else’s spoon.
Grocers should write ahead with quantities and a delivery or collection date. We answer wholesale from the same people who log the copper pans. There is no sales representative on the road, and we will not invent stock to fill a planogram.
Before you write
No. This is a cold-press atelier. Spoons of marmalade and a drop of cordial in water, then you collect glass. Kitchens are elsewhere in Jaffa.
There are no tables. We do not sell grove tours. Trade visitors who need to understand a crate may stand at the counter with the plot card — write first.
If a run is on and the floor is safe, from the marked side of the counter. Do not step to the copper wall or touch a pan.
Dogs stay outside the preserve room. Children are welcome if glass is handled by an adult. One step at the door — call and we will bring the crate out.
We collect first. Carriers are arranged for grocers, not as a default for a single jar. The on-page form does not send; email hello@jaffapress.pro or telephone +972 3 518 4402 during the hours above.
Find the mark
Jaffa Citrus Press, Company No. 516284731, occupies the ground-floor room on Yefet Street between the old market stone and the sea wind. Postal code 6803104. The nearest habit is to walk from the port lanes or the clock tower and follow zest, not a neon café sign.
Telephone +972 3 518 4402. Email hello@jaffapress.pro. We read the inbox every working morning. Saturday the door stays locked and the desk is silent.
